Grab@Pizza business game concludes Service Management working group
To conclude its working year the Service Management working group took part in yet another business game. Under the guidance of Jan Schilt (globally acknowledged author and thought leader in innovative and simulation learning) and a team from U-vision they played Grab@Pizza, a business game that focuses on business-IT alignment
Grab@Pizza – the game Three or four teams each take a turn at running the IT department of one of the world's largest pizza companies. Your task is to support the business with excellent IT products and services. The market is highly competitive, forcing your business to design new products, develop powerful marketing and sales initiatives and develop a high level of operating excellence with a fast, low-cost high-quality order and delivery process. IT plays an important role in enabling the business to achieve its strategic aims. Your challenge is to align yourself with the business demands and organize your IT capabilities in such a way that the business can achieve its targets for lowering operational costs, increasing revenue and market share and increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Jan Schilt M.Sc., Cert. IT Service Manager/Managing Director, GamingWorks BV (the Netherlands) Jan Schilt is a globally acknowledged author and thought leader in innovative and simulation learning. He has more than 18 years’ experience as an ICT manager, trainer and consultant. He is author of the book 'Process improvements in ICT management'. In 2001 he received an award for his work at ISES international In 2002 he was voted the best 'Master' at the itSMF congress. Jan is managing director of GamingWorks BV and he also has his own company LearningWorks BV, an organization that specializes in developing individuals, teams and organizations.
